A Strategy to Avoid Masturbation

December 18, 2011 3 comments

Here is a strategy that I use to avoid doing masturbation. It needs no telling the urging is very great. Almost always those who masturbate use some form of pornography to induce feelings.

Active barriers are stuff that stop you from doing something. It creates an obstacle on your way.

How can active barriers be useful for avoiding masturbation?

The answer is simple: create active barriers in your way to masturbating. If you want to be more precise, create obstacles in your very thought process. If pornography is your instrument, blocking that can have a considerable obstacle.

Today I will delve into how you can create obstacles in your way to access pornography. Its different for each of us. I will tell you how I did it. I used to download porn videos from Internet and store it on my PC. Then at convenient time, I would copy the videos from PC to cell phone and watch it in toilet while masturbating. I wanted to create active barriers in my behavior. So I decided to delete all my porn collection when I felt bad after masturbating. That did it. Even if I later collected some more, I deleted all of them after masturbating. SHIFT+DELETE all porn was my motto. That drastically reduced my rate of masturbating.

You can start right now. Delete all the porn movies, games, videos, stories and media you have stored in your device. Delete all of them and then empty your recycle bin. Then download some great movies and watch them. There are awfully great number of movies and serials out there to watch other than jerking yourself out.

The Best Thing to do this Winter

December 18, 2011 Leave a comment

There are around 6 billion people in this world. We can safely assume around 50% of them lives in Northern Hemisphere. That is winter for around 3 billion people. Do you think all of them have enough clothes to survive the winter. You and I might be cosy in our bedroom reading and typing but there could be someone out there right next to us who is freezing in this damn cold. So let’s do a little good. Let’s go out there and find someone without warm clothes and give him/her our spare jacket or sweater or anything that might mean comfort to him/her. Do you know who faces the worst in winter. Always the same. The young and the old. Let’s seek out an old who needs clothing and provide him/her with that. Trust me, I’ve done so and its the damn best feeling in the world. 🙂

PS:- If you haven’t watched Green Mile yet, watch it. Its a good movie which I just finished.

Expression through Quran

December 13, 2011 Leave a comment

These days almost everyone uses facebook. Statuses using Quran’s verses is an every day thing. Spreading Islam this way is quite encouraging but can you actually do another thing at the same time? I am referring to expressing yourself. You can write Quran verses that corresponds to your state of mind. This is possible because Al-Qur’an touches every corner of life. I am suggesting this because this could be another way of learning the holy book. By nature we tend to avoid the Quran but this could be a new way of expression and all new way of doing anything is attractive and good for the brain too.
What’s your thoughts on this?

Financial Crisis and Islamic Finance

December 6, 2011 Leave a comment

It doesn’t matter how optimistic your government might be, the financial crisis is not over. The amount of debt USA and Europe is submerged in is enough to tell the tale. The system hasn’t gone through the reform it should have gone through and there is not any signs that the same is likely in near future.

To really deal with the crisis, you need to get your hands down to the root of the problems. And that is greed of the financial players – the bankers, the traders and the shareholders. Money is like a drug. It gives all the sensations a drug can give you. Starting with little doses, you feel good. Eventually you start to want more. With more comes even more desires. At one point your greed of money takes over you and you give up everything for money. Did you watch the movie Wall Street 2 in which Gekko uses his son-in-law to get the money he gave to his daughter and then runs away with the money. Both Wall Street movies are a good choice if you want to understand what they are playing at.

How to curb the greed? With better financial regulation. But financial regulation is hard to squeeze out of people who have been running after money since I was born. I mean what we see is more bailing out of banks and financial institutions, with tax payer’s money that is. What I see is pushing more money into the financial market without strengthening the real economy, actual production.

That is where Islamic Finance beats the market. I bet you wouldn’t be interested in betting with my money if you were bearing some of the risks of betting. Gambling with other people’s money seems next to cool these days. “Hey, know what I just did? Just used some whack-shack’s money to buy some high-paying CDOs. Don’t care if they default. Its the whack-shack who is going bust. 8)”. Not with Islamic Finance, where financier and entrepreneur share risk as well as profit. Makes sense.

I am not an expert on Islamic Finance, I just happen to like finance and Islam. I just know that Islamic Finance is flourishing in these days of recession. Talking of recession, I will write a piece on it. Ok, I’ll write several pieces on it, since its hard to ignore the high use that word is going through, “recession”.

This video gives some insights on the root of the financial crisis. I agree that it is not the fault of the finance model but the greed of the user which has brought destruction. Also search “financial crisis explained” on youtube to find some good stuff meant for non-technical viewers.

What’s you view of Islamic Finance? Is Islamic banking truly Islamic? Share your views.

Islam a religion of Terrorism? Extremism? Suicide? NO! It’s Media Manipulation.
