Zakir Naik on Wet-Dreams
Q7. A muslim youth has a wet dream. What should he do?
(a) If it occurs before sahar in the holy month of Ramadan?
(b) If it happens after Sahar? What about fajr prayers?
(c) What is the method of taking bath for purification?
(d) Is it sinful if wet dream occurs?
D. Ahmed.
A7. (a) If a person gets a wet dream before sahar in the month of Ramadan and has time to take Ghusle Janaba (bath for purification), then he should do it, and then eat his sahar. However, if he does not have the time for Ghusl, he should take Ghusl before the Fajr Prayer.
(b) If a person gets a wet dream after taking sahar in the state of Saum, he should take Ghusl as soon as he wakes up. One’s fast does not break by wet dreams. Even if he happens to be in the state of Janaba for some time, there is nothing wrong in it. He should take a Ghusl before offering any Salaah/Prayer.
Narrated Abu Bakr bin Abdur Rahman.
My father and I went to Aisha (R.A.) and she said , ” I testify that Allah’s Messenger at times used to get up in the morning in a state of Janaba from sexual intercourse, not from a wet dream, and then he would fast that day.” (Shaih Bukhari, Vol. No. 3, Hadith No. 1931)
(c) The right way of performing a bath for purification i.e. Ghusle Janaba is given in the following Hadith:
Narrated Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet (Phuh):
Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) performed ablution like that for the Salat (prayer) but did not wash his feet. He washed off the discharged from his private parts and then poured water over his body. He withdrew his feet from that place (the place where he took the bath) and then washed them. And that was his way of taking the bath of Janaba. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 1, Hadith No. 249)
(d) There is nothing wrong in getting wet dreams nor is it a sin, as mentioned in the following Hadith:
Narrated Ali Ibn Abu Talib
There are three whose actions are not recorded: a lunatic whose mind is deranged till he is restored to consciousness, a sleeper till he awakes, and a boy till he reaches puberty. (Sunan Abu Dawood Vol. 3, Hadith No. 4389)

plz lemme know on deliberate masturbation during ramadan
oh… u are disgusting…
Md. Azad, with all due respect, ‘pretending’ that muslim young males are not masturbating is a huge psychological problem in our older generation. 99% of males do it, and Muslim males are prone to it as well. Most of us do it. Alhamdulillah I have given up (at 21 years of age – started at 16/17) and I pray to Allah to give me strength to resist it each and every single day. When I was younger, it was a matter of daily routine for me and all friends of mine except one. So please accept the fact, and please try to solve it in a positive and good manner, because saying such negative things will lead further away from Islam. No it is not disgusting, its an urge which society has made acceptable. Return to the right path, Imtiyaz, start out by praying and slowly but surely InshaAllah you will get rid of this habbit. And by the way, from what I have read, most ulema have agreed unanimously that it is infact Haram so hurry to leave it before time runs out.
Haram to ejaculate during fasting. If you really want to do it, do it after breaking your fast, referring to after the Isha prayers or after Tarawih (if you decide to pray Tarawih).
VERY IMPT. Please let me knw abt the sin of kissing n bodiy touching in Islam-not sexual intercourse bt only kissng and touching-IMPORTANT
If u are kissing to someone who is opposite sex and reached to puberty then it is certainly a sin.. don’t ask about how big or small it is…
assalamualaykum, please let me know how can a female(who is also suffering from frequent vaginal discharges) be confirmed of her wet dream when she see any act of sexual arousal in her dream but the clothes are not soiled at all…only what is seen is mild clear liquid after wiping off with tisssue….and especially when she is also suffering from waswasas(perhaps)…in such a case she is not able to decide whether this is the normal lubricating vaginal fluid, vaginal discharge, or emission of fluid as a result of wet dream? Is ghusl obligatory even if she is uncertain..due to the effect of waswasas(probably), she takes around 2-3 hrs for ghusl and is much worried due to this problem…please reply urgently…
jazaakALLAHukhayran.
walaikumassalaam.
Sana,
I am not an expert on Islamic rulings but as far as I know wet dreams are confirmed by discharge of liquid which is discharged while sexual intercourse. One should not take 2-3 hours for ghusl even if it is obligatory because it is a waste of time and water.
Anyone should not listen to uncertainty of mind because shaitan plays tricks on these things. Mental strength is essential. Act according to logic, not waswasa.
I am not sure.. but as far as i concern… If u remembered such dreams in the morning and found something like wet or u are sure it has nullified your ghusl then u should make gushl before prayer. And yes there is no room for doubt.
does a person faces weakness due to wet dreams??

assalamuallykum,
Ahmed,
please let me know that masturbating while having fast, breaks the fast or not?
Q. Was Prophet Muhammad a Muslim before Prophethood ?
Salam:
Dear Ahmed,
As masturbation is a kind of sex, and sex does invalidate fast, so masturbation also breaks fast!
As,
I would recommend you all sleep on your backs or on your sides as the prophet (pbuh) narrated. This would help since the genitals are not toching anything.
Assalam u Alikum , this topic was quite helpful
… im a teenage boy !! and i was quite a bit tensed , because i had a wet dream the last night … and it looked like mastaburation , and i was wondering if my fast broke or not !!!!
thanx
kindly tell me , about the deliberate mustaburation …..
Teenager, masturbation is considered Haram by most Ulema. Being a teenager its very hard for us to find an outlet for all the energy, and we turn to masturbation. I dont remember a single week I spent without masturbating in the last 6 years (since I was 16) but Alhamdulillah now i have given up. Every single day, I pray to Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala to help me resist the temptation. Every. Single. Day. Because we never know when shaitan can tempt us to the wrong side. But to those who repent sincerely, Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala has mentioned great reward. And it is that reward, and the pleasure of Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala that I want to obtain, not 15 seconds of ecstasy. It is also mentioned I believe in Hadeeth, that a person who sincerely repents from his sin, can be compared to milk that has been milked out of an animal – the milk cannot come back.
So brother, I know its very hard in our time and age, where p*rn is one click away. But I believe if you resist urges, while living in this current age, where you can easily fulfill them, it will give more ajar InshaAllah. Try to turn to Salah first of all, then slowly to Quran and Hadees and remember to repent sincerely for your sins, which you have committed knowingly or unknowingly. Use up your free time to spread Allah’s message. You dont need to even go out of your home, just go on facebook, write a hadith or ayah and tag your friends. share a hadith or ayah on some islamic forum. Remember, as long as someone keeps reading it, you will keep getting ajar. Stay as far as possible as you can from offensive websites and channels. Take the first step to Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala and HE will take 100 steps towards you.
May Allah guide all our youth to the right path, Ameen.
@imran:shukriya imran bhai…….thnx for ur valuable msg…..brother…
